Our Pastor and Wife

Both my wife and I were born and raised in central Indiana.  I was converted to faith in Jesus Christ in 1986 just after graduating from college.  This began a life-long love of God’s Word and a desire to teach others His precious truths.  For the next 10 years I served in local churches in Indiana and Texas teaching Sunday Bible School, as a deacon, and in various other ways.

In 1995 our family moved to Texas so I could begin Seminary.  I attended Dallas Theological Seminary for three semesters before transferring to Tyndale Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, TX.  Soon after graduating from Tyndale in 1999, God led me to New England to serve as pastor of Independent Baptist Church in West Stewartstown, NH.  For 15 years I served God’s faithful people at IBC until He led me to Cornerstone Baptist Church in January, 2015.  For three years I served under the senior pastor, Timothy Gillam, until his retirement at the end of 2017.  I have been the sole pastor at Cornerstone since January 2018.  

When asked who is the most influential person in my life I answer, without hesitation:  My wife, Lauri.  Her faithfulness to the Lord and to me, and her “incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit” (1 Peter 3:4) continually encourages me to be faithful.  We have been married since December 1987 and have three grown children, a daughter-in-law,  and two grandchildren.
